I did not remove the swingarm, which I think is called for.....  I think
after removing the rear wheel, I used a air powered cut-off tool to cut the
old chain.  Leaving the chain in place, I swapped the front sprocket to the
530 size, the connected the new chain to the old chain with a master link.
That way I could thread on the new chain.

New DID X-ring was stronger than the old DID 532 chain.  Sprockets front and
back, plus chain were about $200, vs. a little more than $200 just for the
532 chain itself.

Well with the electrical problem out of the way, its on to the 532-530
chain/sprocket replacement this weekend. I'm going with a DID xring chain,
having bought into their ad claims. Anyone like/dislike this chain?
It looks straight forward enough in the manual. Any gotcha's I should know
about? i.e. impossible to get to bolts etc.
