General consensus amongst mechanics who are familiar with the Genesis
engines is that you should probably have the first valve adjustment at 20K
miles. From there, 26K miles is a good number. Funny you should ask, I
dropped mine off at the shop on Saturday for a valve adjustment!

I'm still only a few months new to this site,so I'm
sure you've beat this horse to death, but what has
been the general concensus on valve adjustment for
the GTS? Some makes have a tendency to run tight.
[Soft seats, valve moves up in seat, aka Kawasaki]
Some makes have a tendency to run loose.[Tendency to
wear at cam end] My GTS at 44k is still a virgin.
[For the very first time] Only it's maker has touched
it's valves. It still delivers instant starts ,47-53
mpg,idles like a sewing machine,pulls like a
locomotive, faster than a speeding bullet, and has
never [you guest it] had a valve ajustment. Does it
need one? In terms of weather forecast-chances
of rain, what are the chances that this GTS needs
a valve ajustment? Oil is changed @3-4k with M115-50.
Shifts are executed at 3-8k RPM.Never at redline.
You get the picture.So WASSSSSSUP?
