i would like to establish an accessory circuit wired such that it draws
power through lg wire from battery to relay to cut out when ignition off so
no power draw w/o key. i need to decide where to put this relay, but i'm a
little blown away by wiring diagram. i'm sure i'll figure it all out by the
time i finish all my graduate coursework, but in the meantime i wonder if
any of the listers who've wired up extra stuff have found a good line to
splice into that would provide power to key on a relay, ideally just while
the engine is running. i'd like one not vulnerable to bulbs out etc. but i
guess a big part of it is finding a wire i can get to, (my harness has been
retaped in previous life -- nothing's getting away by accident.) and, am i
right thinking that the line out to flip the relay is _very_ low power draw
in itself, so very little extra current demand etc for whatever circuit it
gets attached to to carry it? big THANKS. -- jim .
