I've had good luck with the EBC blacks. I too was/am concerned about using
semi-metallic pads on our rotors. I wanted to reduce wear since they will
probably be unobtanium soon.

With all this talk about brakes,what's the word
on PADS. I've tried Gaffler green rears and like
them. I recently installed Gaffler black pads in
the front and like the positive feel but ooooh,
that nasty sooty brake dust. I must constantly
clean the front rim even at gas stops - what a
drag. Any suggestions on clean running pads that
won't eat my rotors.
