My bike is in for 24Kmi service, having valves adjusted for the first time
and such. BTW all intakes fine, all exhaust very slightly tight. I also
provided them with Kevin Hawkins procedure on greasing the upper A arm. Well
like someone else posted some time back when the A arm was slipped off, the
bearing (needle bearing) on the one side is just dust. The other one wasn't
quite as bad but both have to be replaced. If any of the rest of you haven't
checked on this you need to. Now the A arm has to come out because the
bearings are pressed in so we'll find out soon how the ball joint has held
up. He hasn't checked my rear swingarm as yet, but with that one also being
"typical" as well on these bikes I'm expecting another call about that one.
Just an FYI for the group...Bob B. (undergoing GTS refresh)
