My '94 GTS w/ 15k miles has an annoying squeek when the front brakes are
applied. I greased my upper A arm last weekend, also following Kevin's
procedure (Hey Kevin, thanks for taking the time to write that up!)
I found it possible to just remove the A arm(without having to remove lower
swing arm etc) which made it easier to do a thorough clean and regrease. My
needle bearing was ok, but definately lacking in the grease dept. The right
side bearing is a ball and socket type, the same type used where the rear
shock attaches to the relay arm. That one was lacking grease to the point of
becoming somewhat rusty(I'm betting thats where the squeek was coming from).
After cleaning it up, it looked a little bit worn, but not scored. I decided
to just go with a healthy dose of grease, rather than wait for replacement
parts. I'll be replacing them next time. Looks like I'll have it all back
together tonight. Looking forward to a squeek free ride :)
