Hold up! I had one of these Vortex sprockets. It cost me $54 and only lasted
6000 miles. These are aluminum sprockets and they look real nice but good
steel sprocket will last as long or longer then the chain. Imho they are a
waist of hard earned cash.

Subject: Vortex sprockets

Good morning fellow GTS'ers. I'm sitting here checking out the latest parts
catalog the bike shop received. (came in a couple days ago, I was told). I
found these cool sprockets by a company called Vortex. They are made in the
USA, so chances are their quality is worth trying out. And they have a
listing for our GTS's. It's a 530 conv.rear p\n: 38-64147 (47t) front
p\n:38-351717 (17t). Has anyone had any experience with this companies
products? I'm looking at my choices because I need a chain & sprocket change
for the spring. Have a good day everyone.Peter Piazza.
