Does it make any difference if you open the throttle a little, or a lot? It seems to
me that if the problem is only on very small throttle openings, then the track of the
TPS is probably the problem, unless the mapping is poor.
On the GTS there *may* also be a problem relating to the closed loop nature of the
system - maybe it takes a fraction of a second, or maybe even a whole one, for the
the lambda probe readings to make sense to the computer on the transition from idle
circuit to main map?

The Guzzi is surely completely different, isn't it an open-loop system (Weber-Marelli)
with no Kat or Lambda probe? There are various versions of Weber-Marelli, but I think
they all use engine temperature, TPS, crank position and absolute pressure as inputs.
I don't know whether the APS is used on non-turbo applications.
