Thanks for the quote. It's good to know that I'll be getting reliability in
the deal. 1) The 0W01 or thunderace box isn't quite the same. 2) The space
it occupies is the same. I won't be swapping any individual parts, just the
complete assembly. Assembly for assembly they're supposed to be a direct
install. Yes, I will be splitting the crankcase. I want to check everything
in there. 3) Well, here are just a few reaons. I always wanted a 6 speed,
even though it was never an important issue. Since I got my GTS I suddenly
found myself being included in with the Beemer crowd. The Beemer folk are
going ape over some new Beemer because it finally got a 6 speed.( They would
go even more ape if any GTS would have a 6 speed as well.) I'm opening up my
motor now, & the opportunity is here. The GTS is a conversation piece as
well as a motorcycle,so why not add one more gadget to converse about (and a
complex 1 to boot). There are many many many more. No, my 5 speed doesn't
jump out of gear. It actually shifts pretty well, indeed. Peter Piazza P.S.
I just recieved my Barnett clutch & HDsprings.

crap - it keeps jumping out of second and third. The YZF750SP gearbox uses
four dogs per gear - same as an OW01 - and fits straight in. It's loads
stronger"
