Hi,
My two cents: Yes I use the lowest octane available (and still accelerate
like a madman without knocks or hesitation), Yes additives can be better
on the prem packages so use once in a while, and I think Brand matters.
Far more variable would be octane ratings between brands I would think,
but what they cut the gas with is very different.

Sorry I can't get it out here in Cali, but Amoco is very pure gas- worth the extra
money. Some gas seems to leave varnish residue in your system a lot more
than others. Amoco is clear white and never does that.

Also: (partial rant) Using a higher octane than you need causes extra smog, so
I've heard. Therefore I avoid it.

Note: I'm not going to go off on big trucks and the waste of gas I see here every
day, but it is refreshing to hear that opinion! I am all for raising the price. We
get almost 50 per gallon. I think we should encourage conservation. You won't see
happen with Bush in office though. Hey we'll need the gas, that butt head's going
to pick a war with China. What a f*cking moron.

Having control over myself is almost as good as having control over others.
