Geeee.....I like living in New Mexico, maybe more than I realized before
this all came up.
Cost to own a GTS......if I want to ride it on public roads, I have to get
a plate every year, and it's a whopping $12.50. 'Cept I have a
personalized plate ("GTS"), so I pay an extra $10 for it, my choice.
Most cars....about $25 to $50 per year. The latter figure is high, what I
pay for a personalized plate on a Mustang Cobra.
Other property taxes on vehicles.....zero.
Property taxes on my 2,000 sq ft home, .34 acre lot, nice neighborhood,
about a grand a year.
Mandated inspection fees on vehicles......zip.
Things to affix to a motorcycle.....a license plate with a current year's
sticker on the plate.
Insurance....mandatory for liability for anything with a plate.
Geeeeeez........you guys pay all this money for the "privilege" of riding
on high traffic roads with draconian patrol forces in the snow. I like it
here, by the way.
