The closest place to get rooms now is biggs, it's ten mile
south of Goldendale.
Try the Riviera motel 541-739-2501 it's clean and reasonably priced.

Daren, I'll ride back to Fort Macleod, or thereabouts with you. If we leave
sunday afternoon we can stop over in the Spokane area and ride out the next
day. So at worst case you'd ride down alone & then from Ft. Macleod (450km) to
Edmonton.
P.S If you go fast enough you won't be alone for long ;)
