I have bent a steel bar with a curve till I could get it to bend the flap
backwards out of the way. Then I took a sharp nail and tapped a hole as high
up on the back side of the neck. It doesn't take a very big nail. I found
that the tank metal is fairly soft and it doesn't take but some tapping with
and hammer to poke a vent hole. It does help and I pleased with the extra
gas that you can put into it without having all the pump problems. This way
you don't have to take the tank all apart.
