Although I have had my GTS for several months, I have never adjusted the
chain. It has been serviced twice and both times the chain was
adjusted, but today I decided I needed to finally do it myself. I got
out my Yamaha service manual so I could check and see if there were any
special procedures I needed to be aware of, and to find out the
recommended amount of slack. I looked ALL OVER the book and couldn't
find anything. Of course something as mundane as an index would be out
of the question for a Yamaha manual. I finally checked the section on
rear suspension, and for adjusting the chain they referred me to
"Chapter 3." The only problem is all the chapters in the manual are
alphabetical, NOT numbered. So I am feeling quite irritable about
this. Can anyone tell me what the slack should be, and refer me to
where I can find the procedure in the manual?
