Well I can't make the Goldendale ride. I'm being sent to Chicago for a
week, leaving friday. I'm the Technical Service person for the
Machinery Company I work for and things didn't happen last week as they
were supposed to, so...
I was really looking forward to riding with some other GTS's. I
probably couldn't have kept up though, I've got one of those slow Red
ones. By the way, I could only get it to go 12.18 in the quarter @
110mph. What's with the top end on these things, it's like it's too
lean or something. 600's are screaming by me to the tune of
115-120mph. I know, I know, you all probably think it's a sin to ride a
nice bike like this down the quarter mile. But, if you do, make sure
you drop some air pressure in the rear tire or you'll never hook up.
And don't bother with lowering the gearing, I tried and it didn't make a
difference.
One more thing... My wife want's me to sell the thing and one reason is
she hate's all the wind she gets. Does anyone have any experience with
this, or solutions?
