Hi Jeff , the reason i replied to you off list , is because when i hit the "
reply to sender " button , it came up with your email address and not the
list ( thought you wanted an answer off line ).
For the benefit of the list i'm sending your original question
and my answer .See Below

MY REPLY. See Below.
Hi Jeff ,
The Dealer mode is used for fault finding the ABS and EFI
systems .
The ABS and the EFI have separate plugs (couplers)
the ABS is white plastic and the EFI is black plastic , both are located by
the back light , under the seat ( in the tail hump ).
To set either into Dealer mode you can use a piece of wire with the
appropriate connectors fitted to the wire .
With the ignition OFF remove the protection cap which is retained by a small
clip on the body of the coupler , lift the tang of the clip up and wiggle
the cap out , then plug the wire into the 2 pins nearest to the clip .
See your manual to confirm that you are connecting the wire correctly , look
under the heading " Self diagnosis function of the ECU " , find the picture
that shows " Method of checking the fault code by pocket tester "
you should be connecting it the same as the Black wire shown in the picture
.
Its the same for the EFI coupler.
You can not connect both couplers at the same time .
Once the wire is connected , turn on the ignition and refer to the manual
for the fault diagnosis of the coupler that you have connected .
Note the fault codes are shown by the ABS light flashing in one second and
half second intervals .
The ABS light is used for both ABS and EFI fault diagnosis .
Example .
A fault code of 11 would be shown as a one second flash followed by a half
second flash , then the next recorded fault code would be shown " say " 31 ,
three one second flashes followed by a half second flash .
I haven't ever used the Dealer mode for tweeking .
If you have any questions just let me know.
atb Nick T
