OK guys, here's a weird one for ya. After having my bike all torn apart
this winter and then reassembly this spring, I see what looks like oil that
has come out from around the fuel gauge needle and is in a little puddle in
the bottom of the fuel gauge window.

Here's a little background on what I did with the instrument cluster: After
having a big black fly take a day long ride on my tachometer needle last
year, he disappeared. I tried to rev him off but I think he liked turning
around and around. Anyway, assumingly he died or exited where he entered
from because I never saw him again. The only problem is that he was
actually a she and laid some eggs on the inside of the lense as a reminder
that there were going to be more where she came from. So over the winter I
removed the cluster and the lense, cleaned it and then reassembled without
any troubles. I never oiled anything, nor did I store the cluster upside
down when it was off the bike. Where did this oil come from? I guess I'll
have to take the cluster apart again this coming winter.
