There is NO official recall! But, they will replace the HU free! Parts and
labor included! They done it many times in the past and will continue to do
so because of the threat of an NHTSA recall. Just have your local dealer
contact corporate Yamaha and explain that it is a Hydraulic Unit failure.
If they try to get you to pay for labor, tell them to stuff it! Then
threaten a call to NHTSA. Tell them that you know the history of this unit
and the number of HU's that have been replaced for free, out of warranty,
in the past.

A buddy of mine is a parts man for a Yamaha dealer. I asked him about
the GTS ABS recall and he told me today that there is no official record
of it, and he doesn't think he can help me. I have heard on this
newslist that you have to be a bit insistent, but they WILL fix it if
you make a fuss. What is the best way to go about this?
