Be insistent but be pleasant--the guff you get is
probably your dealer. The dealer couldn't give two
sh!ts whether the NHTSA forces a recall of a
7-year-out-of-production-model in one of the several
lines of bikes he has to carry to survive. I've been
to 3 dealers, called 3 more, and been up and down the
corporate ladder @ Yamaha for other reasons. Even my
"good dealer" liked to hide a little behind the
"corporate" veil because he's the one who can smell my
breath when I'm complaining... Think about it
dudes--it's all about the dealer! My $.02--party on!
