For over a year I lubed the front shock to stop squeaking; true, it squeaked a bit at
times.

The last 6 months I was probably lubing the wrong thing while my upper A arm bearing
race disintegrated.

The right side (to forward motion) Rubber protective seal is more like a wrap. And it
rubs
against stuff that remove what's left. If you ride in the rain, this can quickly lead
to what
is technically referred to as "no bearings" or "squeak hell".

By the time I got the thing apart, I was rewarded with about 16 free falling nasty
looking pins
that used to be roller bearings, plus a lot of dust that used to be a bearing race.

Even if you don't hear squeaking, today would be a good day for you to take a look at
that race,
make sure the rubber wrap is around and at least spray some white lithium grease in
there.

Good luck!

I am grateful that I am not as judgmental as all those censorious, self-righteous
people around me.
