Walt,
I believe I'm the lister you're referring to. When I got my GTS I found the
cluth travel and engagement point absurdly annoying (too short, too high),
so I did a bit of research. I did install a FZR 1000 lever if I'm not
mistaken, and I think the R1's works too, but can't assure. Anyway, a quick
call to your Yamaha shop will clear any doubts. Mine IS adjustable in four
positions and installs with no fuss. It does not change the amount of
travel, but you can dial in where you want it to engage. Bear in mind that
this lever is a bit shorter (about the width of your little finger), so if
you have big hands like me, it'll take a while to get used to it.
I'd say you give it a try. It does make a difference and is very cheap.
