1. RK makes the #532 chain (118 links). Get ready for the
price...Ouch...You are looking at close to $180 for the chain from
www.accwhse.com , and that's the best price I could find. Accessories
Wherehouse doesn't sell the sprockets for the #532 size chain. Fact is I
can't remember where I saw the Renthal spockets for sale but I thought they
were about $75 a piece. So you can see that replacing the #532 size chain
and sprocket is a bit costly.

Subject: Chain/Sprockets/Tires

OK,
So I'm still sort of a newbie to the GTS world. I've been loving my
'94 GTS for a month or so now, and am taking it on a 3,000 mile ride
next month.  Here's a few questions for the intelligence bank;
1. What size (# teeth) are the sprockets on the GTS. Does anyone know
of a good aftermarket source for these?

2. Why did Yamaha choose a weird size chain for the GTS (532)? What do
all of you consider the best chain for this bike? Any deals out there
on chains?

3. Yes, tires - again. I see you all like the Pirelli GTS, and the
Avons. OK. So they don't make a front tire in the specified size -
130/60 ZR17. So do you all just run the more common 120/60ZR17? There
are only a few types of tires available in the 130/60 size. ???

4. Any basic tips for a long distance run? We're riding to N.Mexico
and back(to IL) - and picking up our bun burner gold Iron Butt
certificates on the way. Anyone want to take a few days off work
mid-Sept?

Thanks!

Mike H.
