I'm having some work (valve seals, piston rings) done on my GTS at ~53K miles, and the shop just informed me that the countershaft is almost completely stripped. The bike is on it's second set of chain/sprockets--I went to a 530 chain at ~21,000 miles. I've had a ScottOiler on the whole time, and the chain and rear sprocket have plenty of life left (maybe 10K+ miles). So, I'm having the countershaft replaced ($$$). Ouch....
