Well, you may have to look for those parts.

As for the bike, I was in your shoes about 3 weeks ago, then I bought mine.

It's a heavi(er) bike than the average and doesn't appear to turn as much as
regular bikes, it could be a little bit of a hassle to navigate in/out of a
tight spot (like my garage).  Otherwise I haven't seen any issues other than
the ABS unit getting gummed up from too little use (ie a very low mileage
bike or someone never activating the ABS pump), rumor has it that Yamaha
does replace it free of charge if you contact the right person (Kavanaugh
someone in Orange County, CA, other people have details).

I can't speak from experience but I did peruse the archives and the
balljoints seem to hold real well, no particular troublespot with these
bikes other than some people reporting a low rpm surgining that can be cured
(supposedly was on the '94s with remapped fuel) by tweaking the fuerl
mixture.
