Roberto,

I can't comment on the reason why you are scraping the center stand (or side
stand) other than by saying that I used to do that on my Concourse when I
was doubling someone. I can however try and shed a little light on the
exhaust question.

I had mine disassembled as far as possible after one of my crashes (you may
have heard about that) and found that unscrewing the rear cap only allows
you to see that the whole inside is welded as one piece and is unserviceable
by most mortals. I even ground off the welds at the front so that I could
remove the chrome ring, but there was nothing there either. I proceeded to
repair the damage then solid weld the front ring back on with brass and
powder coat the whole thing. I had the rear ring (solid stainless) polished
and the torx screws chromed before I reattached them to the now silver can.

<From the silence of the group I take that no one else is scraping the stand
before the pegs. I assume something's wrong there then.>

<Also, anyone knows if disassembling the canister means just undoing the
screws and pulling the lid out, or is it more complicated than that?>
