One thing I have found was that the front swing arm is not as resilient as I
thought it would be considering the heft of it. Pat had a minor incident
which boiled down to a low side type accident. He noticed some difference in
his steering which ultimately was a result of the front swing arm being bent.
There was never a direct impact to it, only a glancing blow from the right
hand side. He was able to determine that it was bent by making two straight
shafts that fit through the front bearing mount and the rear pivots and
checking for parallel lines and planes of the two rods. If the swing arm is
not damaged, the two rods will be parallel on both planes. I hope this helps.
