Hmmm...I've never heard of any High Intensity LED driving lights. Do you have a
URL to any descriptions?

I've got an HID lamp (low-beam only, on all the time) in my US GTS, with PIAA
1100s mounted as driving lights. The PIAAs are controlled (via a relay) off the
stock high-beam switch, so my "highbeam" is both the HID (low only, wide and
very bright) and the PIAAs. It's a great combo for backroads. See:

Yes, it's expensive. However:
        installation was easy
        the HID lamp (should) never burn out
        the light is great
        there are no problems with heat
        there are no problems with excessive electrical loads
        there's a really big pose factor :)
