Now there is one of my FAV O RITE singers: Phil Ochs. What a disservice he did to his countrymen by committing suicide. Of course we probably didn't realize it when he did it, only when he was gone.
Old like, Phil.............I am: Henry > OK, OK, I give.......I guess I'm the Olde Pharte here. > one else seems to know this) in the song "William Butler Yeats > Visits Lincoln > Park and Escapes Unscathed" by the radical 60s folks singer, Phil > Ochs. Ochs > later became disillusioned with the establishment's ability to > coopt the various > radicals, and eventually committed suicide. Other notable works > included "White > Boots Marching in a Yellow Land," "Draft Dodger Rag," "I Ain't Marching > Anymore," "Love Me I'm a Liberal," and of course, as a kid who grew up in > Gunnison Colorado, one notable song called "The Ballad of Alferd Packer". > > All available at: > > http://www.cs.pdx.edu/~trent/ochs/lyrics.html > > OK, Henry, who's right????????? Well, Hell, Phil, you're right of course!
