Hi Henry , our bikes have a unit between intakes 2 & 3 , that increases the
idle speed to fast idle when the engine is cold , the other sensors on the
bike measure the air temperature etc etc and these alter the firing and
mixture to suit the conditions.
Basically the unit acts sort of like a choke would on a carb bike but
without a cable , the mixture is handled by the ECU .
This is why i called it an "auto choke" , a better description would be
"automatic fast idle unit" .
