My last ride was a four hour ride in heavy rain, and it ran great. Then the
bike sat for a month before I tried to start it again. It turns over OK,
but doesn't even try to fire. I checked the #1 & #3 spark plugs for spark
and I'm getting a spark from both coils, though it may be intermittent.
There was gas on the plugs, so I'm getting fuel also. There are no
indications that anything is wrong other than the fact that it won't start.
I've got a manual and intend to go through the troubleshooting process, but
I wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions about possible failure related
to riding in heavy rain. I recall that the coils can have problems with
moisture, so I'll check that tomorrow. Thanks for any input.
