The rear wheel can be removed with the sensor still in the cover , remove the rear brake caliper , then unbolt the small bracket holding the sensor wiring to the swing arm ( this will just give you a bit more room to play with ) then remove the axle bolt and allow the wheel to drop down ( make sure you are not stretching the sensor cable ) , then carefully push the wheel forwards and unhook the drive chain ( keeping an eye on the sensor when doing so ) then roll the wheel backwards and pull off / out the sensor cover . The sensor is being held by 2 rubber "O" rings , and they can become quite stuck after a while . Once you have removed the cover , you should be able to push out the sensor from the inside , and apply WD40 if needed . Then just add a smear of grease to the cover hole on refitting .
