Hi Pete. Last year when I was doing up my GTS, I bought the OEM 02 sensor
from Yamaha. When I got to the exhaust I decided to compare the Yamaha
sensor with the Chevy's I changed. The Chevy units were a sure fit. The only
difference I noticed was that the Yamaha sensor was of a more compact
design. Hence, it would create a little less restriction in the exhaust. On
the other hand I checked with some jabber replacement units from the
motorcycle distributors & they were also a sure fit & little more compact
than the Chevy units. As far as changing your unit ? Well you got your GTS
for a while now, so it probably won't hurt. Keep us posted on your findings.
Be good. Peter Piazza.
