Yes, you are right, in that H3 bulbs typically are used in fog/ aux
lamps.
Maybe why John Laurenson has noticed that the H3 side is aimed low
rather than high.
not intended for High beam, but rather low beam fill in.

Have to ask the question , my manual says that the bulbs fitted are H4
and
H1 , but you talk about a H3 , is this what it states for your country ?

This web site says that the H3 is usually used for fog lights, maybe
this
explains the beam pattern of your H3 , note the site is on about car
headlights , it maybe different for bikes .

So what do you think ?
