Dave....here it talks about the H1 bulb and that it is used in a Ducati, they use an H3 as the high beam. It looks like H1 and H3 are interchangeable. It looks like the H1 extends further into the headlight. Except, H1 doesn't have the high temperature extended wire lead that the H3 has. Also, the H1 is only available in limited wattage. I think the H3 is the bulb designed for headlights and the H1 for aux. lights.
