Oh yeah, have a whole list I'm working off.
- Just finished tonight wiring up my new Schuberth flip helmet with a
J&M headset.
Can take it off and on without removing my glasses, has a flip down sun
visor so don't have to change shields, can flip up to eat and drink.
- Installed a new CB antenna and tuned with SWR meter - had to solder
some jumpers over trim pots in the original splitter box in my old RKA
comm setup to get it tuned.
- Installed Metzler Me880 radial tires, went back to 44 tooth rear
sprocket
- Installed automatic turn signal canceller. Andy from Kisan may get to
me before May 31 his new sonar design tire alert which can finally be
fitted to the front wheel.
- Installed a set of Acerbis hand guards (for weather protection) & new
hand grips and heat wraps.
- Disassembled shock linkage and swing arm to lube all bearings.
- Have green EBC brake pads and new battery on order, and new front disc
rotor ready to be installed.
- Need to take my custom YZF header pipes down to welding shop and
slightly modify as they are leaking a little at the collector joints and
then heat wrap the collector under the engine/ oil pan.
- Need to install 3 position switch on order to be able to power up my
comm bag separately from the ignition.
- Installed European dual headlight with HID. But like Hawke reported,
the long distance lighting on high beam is lacking (Low beam is superb).
So I'm planning to try installing the HID in the right (H3) side, rewire
for it to be on all the time and put my Xtreme white H4 bulb in the left
side (gave me great long distance illumination previously).
- Ordered another little pump from Hawke to attempt to rig up a
crankcase oil refiller right from quart of oil.
- Clean tape deck and making some more road music tapes.
- go see AAA about insurance for Mexico.
- Last but not least, change my oil before I leave.

Steeli Dan from Santa Rosa is trying to make time to go, but not sure
yet.
He should be getting his bike back next wk after a complete engine
rebuild including a set of cams from a FZR. In the meantime he bought a
new Triumph Tiger and is just loving it as well as another real clean
GTS.
So far it is just Hawke and I for GTS's.
I'm planning to ride with my buddy Alan Barbic who placed 9th in the
IBR and was featured in Rider magazine write up earlier this year. He is
completing a complete (except engine) rebuild of his Honda ST (the
"titanium hammer") after severely abusing it on the Haul road to get to
Prudoe Bay and back. We placed co-2nd place in Zulaski's last rally, the
Northwest Passage 2 years ago, behind the Morrison and Eagan duo.
So we are looking to be up there in the standings.
