I changed to K&N recently. Do I need to carry out any adjustments - like
Air Intake Pressure Synchronisation, for instance?

My problem is that I changed following a service - I know this is the
wrong way round, but I hadn't anticipated air filter replacement. The
mechanic said he'd done the synchronisation, but as it was only a very
short ride home I didn't get to test it.
I then fitted the K&N before any more riding, and detected that the set up
wasn't right. I had minor surging - it was better than pre-service but
not quite right.
When I took this up with the mechanic, he agreed to look at it again. He
claimed that the problem was all down to the K&N and that he couldn't
adjust it any better and I'd have to go to a tuning specialist. I don't
think this is right! (I've used this garage since I've had the GTS and
had no problems before - BUT this is a different mechanic.)
Checking the manual about the synchronisation, it suggests to me that
there shouldn't be a problem.

I'd appreciate any advice!
