Hey Sandy, keep the trip reports coming! They're a great read! Dave's an experienced distance rider and will easily adjust to the adversity. I'm a little surprised to hear the word "New" in many of your discriptions (new CB antennae, new helmet) as most IB riders know better that to implement changes in their bikes and equipment just before the events....HOWEVER....knowing Dave I'm sure he took the time to fully road test these items and it was just a fluke that they failed early. Anyway, I'll try to give him a call later today to try and boost his spirits!
