I didn't say he was a safety instructor! Actually he took it very easy on the way back and we closely monitored the tire's condition all the way back. The tape worked so well though that I'm thinking it would be a great way to alleviate that dreaded flat spot in the middle of my rear tire caused by too many straight highways near Edmonton. ;-)
I believe an endurance rider is no diferent than any other competitor; discipline, focus, desire, pushing the envelope, sore muscles, etc... And that if they do it without endangering others, then why not, it's quite an accomplishment and can provide enough memories to last several non-riding seasons.
