First of all, "never" is a long time, and second, you may have to violate
your oath if you ever need warranty repairs. I'd agree with you if you said
you'd never take your bike back to **that** shop. I think what you really
need to do is find a shop that IS worth your time and money--OTOH, perhaps
there are none in your area. As we all know there are good and bad
_________ (fill in the blank with whatever you want). The trick is finding
the good ones and staying out of/away from the bad ones. There are also
good and bad mechanics. Find the good ones, stay away from the bad ones.
You have more chutzpah than I do. I doubt that I'd ever attempt an engine
rebuild in MY garage.
