I am interested, but the cost seems quite high. If we did a group buy, will the cost come down ???

I need to replace my exhaust - the collector (cat) has gone where the downpipes join (cylinders 2&3), and having looked at what other listers have done and what's available I've decided to get Renegade to construct downpipes and collector to replace the existing. Jorge at Renegade is prepared to do a one-off for me, but is also happy to make up a pattern to provide other listers with the option of a full system replacement from Renegade (road-legal or race spec). He will manufacture the plug for the sensor. I will not replace the stock muffler at this time, so the system will be made to line up precisely - giving the options for other end-cans. This will also ensure luggage fittings are OK. I'm happy to organise a group buy - as I've not done one before I'd be glad of any advice from those who have. Jorge was not very specific about what level of commitment makes it worthwhile to him, so I can find this out once I've gauged response. Now to cost - the price should work out the same as the Kawasaki ZZR1100. The Renegade site is http://www.renegade-exhausts.com/renegade/index.html then follow the links to prices (sterling or euros) and manufacturer. The stainless steel low level full system (round, stainless can) is 570 GBP (863 USD, 912 Euro). This is the race version. Additional cost for road-legal is around 80 GBP (121 USD, 120 Euro). If you're interested please let me know off-list (this makes it easier for me to keep track!) - [EMAIL PROTECTED] My impression of Jorge is that he is a craftsman who takes a real pride in his work and produces a high quality product. He has dealt with GTS before, including one that was raced at the Isle of Man TT (anyone know about this?). The power gain is likely to be quite high! He has also produced a replacement for the GTS in the past - see http://www.btinternet.com/~fj1200mods/GTS/Renegade.htm My bike is booked in for August, so this gives about 4 weeks to determine interest.
