As I see it, it depends on a couple of things: how tall you are, how long your arms and legs are, and do you have knees that can bend and stay comfortable in that position kind of sporty riding position? Mind you, that position is not like a crotch rocket rider, but I would call it more sport than touring--touring being a relatively "sit up" position. The reason I ask is that I'm 6'2", have 36" inseams and 35" sleeves. I'm slightly over 50 years old (except in my mind--which is still at age 23.7), and I have severe problems with my knees--they just don't like to bend that much. So bad in fact that I've basically decided that I HAVE to have another bike for long distance--which will be anything over 1/2 hour of riding time where I don't put my feet down. It should be noted that I do not have a stock saddle--mine is about 5" taller than stock, and still I don't have enough leg room!! If you don't fit that category and I hope you don't, then the GTS is a wonderfully comfortable bike. There are at least 3 riders on this list who can only be called Long Distance riders, and they aren't having any problems. Regards, Henry S.
