Well, today on the way to Boulder, heading north on 93 outside of golden, I saw a bike on the long curve stretch, pulled up behind them...and was wondering what that neat silver bike was, and having the brochure, I recognized the taillight handlebar...new paper-plates.....pulled next to them....YES, indeed. An 2002 FJR1300.....WOW.
In person...it is a very stylish bike,Quiet..Very Quiet..just like the GTS nice aero-cut hardbags...and a mean punch......we both nailed it on the uphill two lane 1-mile stretch heading towards the landfill....I do believe he was faster than me..but i ended up in front...he even had a rider......he took a left on the Hwy going up to nederland.....PS>>>COPS always hang out at that intersection!!!<<< 2 motorcycle cops hide behind the parked cars on the southeast dirt-lot....TRICKY. Beautiful bike...but I did not like their choice in helmets....BRIGHT neon swooshes and lines on black ....didnt fit that "euro-titanium" finish. Maybe...Maybe I will......if i happen to stumble upon $15000...OUCH...well i guess "lucy" was originally $13000....and GTS is more unique...come on..FJR didnt even have ABS....just that fancy windshield,and a shaft-drive. GTS is better. THOR
