No again.

I'm changed several tires on the front after the OEM Dunlop. I went with
the, uhmm...205's or 207's? Anyway, lined up the yellow dot with the air
valve, no shakey. My current tire is a Macadam 90x, 130 size, and it
does not shake or shimmy. No weights either. My back tire is an Avon
Azaro II, and it doesn't seem to shake, but I might be getting a small
vibration from it, albeit at 100+ runs. Uh, at the 'track' of course.
;^)

I talked to one of the tire rep's about 2-3 years ago, and he said that
the technology is getting so good, that most of the time that balancing
is needed, is due to the *rim* not being in balance. He said the tires
are damn near perfect when they pull them off the molds, but they do
spin them and mark the lightest point with the yellow dot. But he
claimed that the difference is like, I dunno, .35 grams of difference,
or some other miniscule amount.

Seems to be true. Inexpensive tires however, may have some slight
difference, but I'll bet even those are not too far off either. You
don't need to balance them either, just don't go over 35 mph. :^0
