I replaced the soft parts, as I recall it was the
usual waterpump failure stuff, seal and O-rings.  I
actually had the parts outsourced but the Yamaha parts
finally arrived and were not that much of an
investment.  I did have some pretty gnarly coolant
running the first few miles of the bike's life until I
noticed the coolant change I had requested when
purchasing the bike new (but 3 years old) had only
been performed on the reservoir coolant--silly me for
not being more specific about replacing ALL the
coolant--but the leak just seemed to happen around the
time I went with the extended Prestone myself...
