Subject: lower fairing

I would like to know if anybody has had to deal with the two rubber
captive holders in the lower fairing. Over the last several weeks I have
installed the new brake and clutch lines. Recovering from hernia surgery at
the same time.
Seems that the rubber material that holds the nuts have dry/heat rotted.
I had to drop the lower fairing as one piece. Trying to find these types of
parts will probably be a task if I depend on a Yamaha dealer. Hoping there
is some sort of other fix or known part number out there that somebody has
used in the past. Have been toying around with several ideas to fix them.
Still would like to find a new OEM or equal part.

Ken
