Yes these could work. However the old type has a nut held captive by a rubber casing. This rubber casing has rotted and allows the nut to turn freely. Maybe different versions of GTS have them and something later was then used. These two hold the lower halves together. They are metric threads and would like to retain this OEM configure as best possible. I figure that this size is used in many bikes across brands. I'll just drop in the Yamaha dealer and see if they have anything close to it. As in the past they nearly faint when you they have to look something up. I doubt if I have to order it with a GTS number. Just thought somebody had a ready repair/replace handy part number on these items.
