To me the 180/55 is a bit slower on turn-ins than the 170/60. The 170/60 perfectly compliments the 120/70.

I live at the base of Hwy 74 (So. Cal. riders will know the words "Ortega Hwy" when it comes to these numbers), and I have taken my GTS up this road to Idyllwild a few times now, and the combination of a 120 front and 180 rear is absolutely the best mix for precise handling in twisty's and long, curvry apexes. The GTS is no GSXR, but it does allow some great stories to be told by the guys behind you! And Battle-Axe tires are what I'm riding on currently (spelling?). -Leland
