Ah, after the 4,400 round trip to Canada, she's now got 191,626.7 mi. Funny,
once I left CA, the performance was markedly improved... she ran smoother, and got 50+
mpg (average speed 75mph tank-to-tank). Gee, could it be all that crap in the CA
fuel? ;-)

Mind you, I found out I was taking this one four days before leaving for El Paso....
hadn't been on the road since last October... (no I never 'winterized' the fuel...
yes, shame on me)... Did a quick tune up: charged the battery, put in Split-fires,
fashioned the K&N air filters, replaced the brake/clutch fluids, poured in some Golden
Spectro, replaced the chain, sprockets... good to go.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch....... the other GTS is still in the shop.... two fuel
injectors were definitely failing... also may be a tight valve... should get an update
this weekend -- apparently, I was gone, so there was no rush to get it fixed....
Yamaha always seems to be too inundated w/ boats these days.... what's wrong w/ this
picture? Just venting...

Actually, there was a 1999 model, though the only difference I can see was
the addition of a third color ("Bluish Black Cocktail")... I believe 2000
was the last year of production....

Here's the 1999 Yamaha Catalog I picked up while in Switzerland a while
  back: http://www.keyworth.net/gts/

BTW, I was on the Three Flags Classic Rally (http://www.3flagsclassic.org)
over Labor Day Weekend... saw a '93 GTS from Colorado... anyone on the
list, perhaps? Out of 322 bikes, only three Yamahas... the third was a
  Seca... where was everyone? ;-)
