If anyone is interested in tagging along, Mark Bohlman and I are planning to
leave the Minneapolis area about noon on Saturday and take
back roads down through the bluff country. I was expecting to end up in
Madison, but hotel rooms for Saturday Oct. 5th seem to be nonexistent; must
be a UW home game. The Super 8 in Portage is still showing rooms available
so we'll probably end up there. If any of you from Chicagoland (or wherever)
are interested in coming up early and hooking up we'd be delighted to have
you join us. Is anyone familiar enough with the Portage area to suggest a
good watering hole at which to congregate?

Midwesterner GTSers (and others),

We are gathering this October 6th at the Slimy Crud Motorcycle Gang event.
How many GTSs can we pull together in one place? What is the record?

Per my buddy Chip: Spoke to the local Kawi dealer. He says the SCMG ride is
on as usual the 6th. Same deal, meet in Pine Bluff, ride to Leland to pay
$2.50 for sausage sandwich. We should try to get there a bit earlier this
year, say 10:00 at the latest.

I would think that we could focus on meeting at the East end of Pine Bluff
(the town is due west of Madison). There are only four corners which should
make it easy to find each other. We can hang out until 11 or 12 then ride
as a group to Leland. This is the place to check out some unique bikes.
Bring your camera.

I don't have info for those of you trying to get together on Saturday night.
You are on your own.

See you there, Steve
