One of my top bolts stripped some time ago as well. It is the bolts that strip, not the weld nuts. As Michael has suggested try prying with a screwdriver as you try unscrewing. If that fails you will have to hacksaw the bolt (on the side by the threads). I replaced my top bolts and retapped the weld nuts. Haven't had any problems since. Be careful though on the length of the left side bolt as there is a seam on the tank close to the weld nut that allows minimal clearance. -- Dave Biasotti // Fremont, CA

Are they stripped or is there something major I am missing. They don't appear to just pull out and the bolts are threaded on the end that I can see. Both of them just turn without coming out.
